The house that once adorned this block is no more. It became no more at least a month ago. I remember riding past when the wreckers were there, and thinking, "I should get a photo of that".
Ah well.
I was interested to see today that they've turned the house into a large pile of bricks. I was also a bit surprised to see the bricks sitting out in the open - they're worth $1 a brick if they are old, handmade bricks. I can just see some unscrupulous bastard turning up with a truck and taking off with $20,000 worth of recycled bricks.
Which is why law abiding people should be legally allowed to plant minefields on the property.
