The egalitarian ABC way

I am currently reading "Who killed channel 9?" by Gerald Stone. After trying to get into it a few times, I finally got a grip on it today and am now over halfway through it.

There is a very telling story about the ABC in there. A certain executive was sacked. He was replaced by a manager from the ABC. Christmas was looming, and the Christmas party had to be organised. The ex-ABC manager decided that there would be two Christmas parties - one for the reporters and producers etc - an expensive river cruise, and a cheap, land-bound affair for the technicians and cameramen.

That's an interesting attitude to bring over from the ABC - the concept of a flash party for the barons and a dreggs party for the plebs. Next time I see those leftie maggots at the ABC droning on about inequality and the evils of capitalism, I'll remember that.

Wankers.
