A great use for waterfront land

There is a real estate axiom that waterfront land is the best thing to own as there is a limited supply of it for use as housing.

Balls. There is plenty more waterfront property available in Sydney. It's just that it is currently used to store containers and things like that (they're not very clear in this photo, but there is a great stack of them on the horizon). If our government had any sense, they'd flatten a slum like Macquarie Fields, turn it into a container park, and sell this waterfront land for building McMansions.

The beauty of parking lots of containers in the former suburb of Macquarie Fields is that you can house the current inhabitants in the containers. They can't be any worse than your average housing commission dump.
