With teachers like these..........


"The federal govt spends 75% of its education budget on private schools and 35% on public schools".

I hope that is a misprint by the paper. I really hope it is.

And the State governments spend 110% of their education budgets on State (public) schools and 0% on private schools?

Public schools are funded by the States; private schools receive some funding from the Commonwealth. On average public schooling costs more per student than private schooling.
Parents paying for their kids to attend private schools save the taxpayer around $5bn a year were they attending public schools instead.
