Never let the government cut your lawn

In our part of suburbia, we have to cut our own lawn verges. That means that some are left to grow wild, but most are beautifully trimmed and well looked after.

Over in Leftist Leichhardt, where the Greenies and Labor hold sway, the council mows the verge.

Their modus operandi is to let the grass grow until it is way too long, then cut it back to far, and to then leave a spray of lawn clippings over all and sundry. A house proud owner over this way would never do such a thing.

Just goes to show that government can screw up even the simplest of tasks.
