Here it is - a Sydney first. Family on a cargo bike - how very Copenhagenize. They looked like they were having a hoot. I've been thinking about getting one of these for popping down to the shops.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, we're seeing more family cycling around the place. Over winter, the kids and mums disappear, and only us older grizzled types are silly enough to brave the elements.
How do you tell a PRO cyclist from a commuter? Easy - a PRO cyclist will never be seen dead in a fluoro, high-viz top. They'll be burning around the place in the team colours of some obscure Basque outfit. They'd rather sandpaper their knob than pull on a high-viz jersey. See The Rules for more on this.
And finally, my first flat in a few months. Had a nice big shard of glass go right through the front tyre. It did rain a bit this morning, but luckily not when I was sitting on the footpath changing the tube. That would have been quite unpleasant.
