"Close personal friend"

Saw a bit of KRudd on TV last night. Normally, I try to avoid these things. He was talking about The One canning his trip down here.

KRudd said, in part, that Obama is a "close personal friend".

What a load of crap.

He's met the guy - what - once or twice? Had dinner and a few drinks? And he's a close personal friend?

Give me a break!
