labor voters, utes and boats

I blogged yesterday about the irony of the blue collar voters being amongst the worst environmental polluters. The urban fringe is solidly Labor, and it is the voters in those areas that have the longest commutes (thus higher fuel consumption), live in big houses in a hotter climate (thus use a lot more air conditioning) and tend to have 3 or more cars (because public transport is useless in low density areas).

They are also avid collectors of boy toys - V8 utes, speed boats, jet skis and the like.

Things are toned down a bit in the inner west - all the leftie bogans around here can afford is a ute with a straight-six and a crappy little boat.

How do I know this is a Labor household? The "Your rights at work" sticker on the lounge room window is a bit of a giveaway.
