I got a nasty shock last night - not an electric one, but a digital one.
Our digital set top box/recorder has two TV tuners. You are supposed to be able to watch TV on one tuner and record on the other, or even record on both. It's a great feature when there are two things that you want to watch on at the same time.
Because we don't have an external amplifier, I had to rig up two aerials to get enough signal for the receiver to work. What I didn't realise is that the jury-rigged aerials only provided enough signal for one tuner to work. We can no longer watch something on one channel and record on the other.
Some landlords need to be shot.
