I must keep writing letters to the ABC

Michael Duffy has an interesting piece in the SMH this weekend about the ABC and Border Security. I liked his angle on the ABC - it is in our interest to have it as biased as possible. If I had it my way, I'd introduce a policy that all staff must be recruited from the Green Left and Socialist Alliance and that all drama programs are not allowed to show any white, heterosexual, non-drug using, employed characters at all. Robert Fisk would be headhunted to run the news and current affairs division. Sport would be ok, as long as it covered the gay tennis tournaments, lesbian bowls and innuit soccer. All ballet and opera shows that appeal to the eldsters would also be revamped to feature the Paddington Dance Company and their show, "Naked in the moonlight with a goat", and opera would be allowed, but only if performed in a tin hut in Madagascar by homeless tune deaf one legged orphans.

The luvvies would love it, but it would allow me to produce at least one angry letter per day. And it would drive the elites further up their own bumholes.

This culture of "balance" at the ABC needs to strangled at birth. We need a whipping boy, and the ABC currently excels at it.
