I cooked a peach cobbler
for dessert tonight. Incredibly, it turned out almost like this photo - a first for me. I've made the Jamie Oliver version of a fruit cobbler on many occasions - his version uses buttermilk in the topping. I reckon this version is much better - I prefer a drier, crunchier topping.
- Delicious and crunchy
- Easy to make
- Don't leave out the rum and nutmeg - they go really well with peaches
- I gave it 50 minutes in our pathetic oven
- Great way to use up early season peaches that are as hard as rocks
I will have to give that recipe a go... once temperatures in Melbourne change so that it is hotter inside our oven rather than outside.
